JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is accountable for providing material, processing, and testing expertise that is required to manufacture helicopter components.  

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for providing materials and process support to both engineering and manufacturing.  Candidate will review drawings, engineering orders, and limited design variations.  Other tasks will include providing technical recommendations to Material Review Board, suppliers, Procurement, and Quality departments.  Daily duties will require issuing/revising/maintaining process instructions and/or Bell Process Specifications with a focus on maintenance and trouble-shooting material related manufacturing problems.  Support to the Supply Chain and Product Assurance is accomplished by reviewing/approving material related process instructions, issuing and revising process specifications, approving critical part production planning, performing critical process initial capability surveys and periodic audits, and onsite technical support in problem areas when required.

Position requires technical competencies in creativeness, analytical skills, and testing as a part of a technical/development team.  Self-motivation, follow-through, organizational skills, and the ability to work with other departments are necessary.  
Scope of technical knowledge should include both areas of metallic and non-metallic (composite) materials and processing.
