Role and Responsibilities :

This is a full time position that reports to the QA Manager in Bangalore. Candidate will develop, publish, and implement test plans for wireless session management as well as report test results.

Candidate will work on all aspects of testing including functional, performance, and stability. Write and maintain test automation scripts and support the development department in problem isolation of issues discovered during testing.

The candidate must be a self-starter with proven written and verbal communication skills, strong analytic, organizational, interpersonal and team skills. Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline, or equivalent with minimum of 6-8+ years of applicable experience in testing of data/telecommunication products. Must be able to participate in the analysis, of system requirements as they related to creation of test scenarios.

Duties:
Development and execution of test case covering system and feature functionality on hardware platform including physical and logical test topology development.  Test areas include functional tests of basic system functionality; feature set functionality including signaling protocols, and control/data paths.   Validation of performance of various system components and the entire control and data path.  Provide troubleshooting support and feedback to development engineers on software functionality. Provide general lab support. Experience with telecommunications test equipment highly desirable.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

6-8 years testing complex network / Telecommunications Protocol /wireless topologies that includes 3GPP, RANAP and RNC
strong knowledge of common TCP/IP protocols including but not limited to: L2 switching, L3 routing, TCP/IP
Familiarity with network security protocols such as IPSec (VPN)
Proficient with Perl, shell scripting.
Experience with python scripting desired
Strong UNIX/Linux skills
Experience with Ixia/Spirent/Tektronics test tools.
Experience in test automation
Knowledge of switching and routing desired.
Working knowledge of one or more source control systems – Perforce, RCS, CVS
