Overview:
The Lead Design Engineer will be competent in areas of Compact Construction Equipment like Backhoe, wheel loader, small excavator etc.
Product design and will be a domain expert within the Engineering Centre for an element of machine design (eg overall machine layout expert or key vehicle sub-system expert).
The Lead Design Engineer will work within an Engineering team under the line management of an Engineering Manager

Responsibilities:
Support Current and New product design and development projects as required both within EMEA Engineering and the Corporate Technology group.
Provide supervision, coaching and guidance to subordinate Engineers in order to facilitate achievement of their goals according to Our client Engineering best practice.
Prepare product design assumptions, product layout, and preliminary cost evaluation, conduct design & marketing reviews, prepare product development plan, Structure EBOM.
Be capable of preparing 3D CAD installation layout designs and associated 2D.
Fully contribute to local and EMEA Engineering continuous improvement activities.
Provide internal engineering administration support to manage BOM, Drawings release.
Qualifications:
7-9 years preferably in Construction or off highway equipment Manufacturing
Graduate degree required: BE/BTech
- Strong knowledge of MS tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and MS Project.
- Good knowledge of GD&T.
- Basic design Fundamentals clarity.
- Good knowledge BOM Creation, ECN and ECR.
- Go-getter attitude with strong belief in team work and effective planning.
