Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Service and Marketing to ensure the “Voice of the Customer” is integral to the development of design specifications for new products and modifications to existing products.
• Identify and implement cost effective design and technology alternatives to resolve field / warranty issues, ensuring appropriate maintenance and ongoing improvements to current models.
• Work with the MP Engineering Group functions to ensure consistent application of Group Standards in the areas of Crushing Technology, Electrical Technology, Technical Publications
• Apply tools & techniques such as:- QFD, FMEA, design-for-manufacture, prototype development and field testing.
• Ensure use of measurable standards and performance for product safety, function and reliability.
• Work with and implement Group Engineering Systems & Standards and associated IT systems, to ensure effective global management of released engineering data.
• Drive standardization of components and sub assemblies across Material Processing
• Set, control and administer engineering budget and headcount commensurate with product plans and business needs.
• Mentor, coach and develop engineering talent
• Maintain local discipline of the engineering staff, including monitoring of work hours if necessary.
• Extensive travel to the Materials Processing sites will be required

Experience & Qualifications:

• Degree educated or equivalent in Engineering, you will be able to demonstrate effective leadership, in both strategic and tactical decision making
• You should have a considerable track record in the design, development and successful launch to market of static and mobile tracked crushing and screening equipment.
• It would be desirable that you should have a track record of successfully operating in a matrix environment, influencing others to drive results.
