Bachelors/Masters Degree in Engineering (ECE/EEE/CSE/IT)
Knowledge and experience:
1. Experienced in real time embedded software development, preferably Set Top
Box domain/Consumer Electronics domain
2. Good in STB software/system architecture and design
3. Expert in C/Assembler/C++
4. Good Knowledge in Device driver development for MIPS32, MIPS64, ARM cores
(Conexant, ST, Broadcom processors).
5. Linux Device Driver (Kernel / User)
6. Operating Systems: Linux / vxWorks / OS20 / uCos / Nucleus
7. Debug Environment / tools: Workbench, ARM
8. Developer Suite (ADS), GDB, ST20 Toolset
9. Knowledge in Middleware (OpenTV), Conditional Access System
(NDS,NAGRA,IREDETO,CONAX)
10.Knowledge in Motorola Communications Protocols: USB, Ethernet, PSTN Modems,
DOCSIS, HDMI, SATA, Fireware IEEE1394.
11.STB Technologies: DVB, MPEG2, MPEG4, PVR/DVR, HD-TV, Graphics/OSD,
Audio/Video, IPTV
12. Experience in third party software integration
Knowledge in the cable set top box standards like OCAP
