Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain software build scripts in a highly dynamic and advanced software development lifecycle process for multiple products.
Contribute to and maintain Enterprise Software installation and automation tools, scripts and related assets.
Provide software build support and ongoing assistance with build activities to ensure timely delivery of testing and production software builds.
Advanced troubleshooting and resolution of highly complex technical issues including software build breaks, software installation and configuration issues, database errors and general environment issues.
Ideal candidate will have technical competencies in all of the following areas:
Visual Source Safe (VSS)
Team Foundation System (TFS)
Visual Studio (2005/2008)
InstallShield; Wise; etc
Coding in a language such as C# or VB6
Microsoft .Net environment
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Deployment of database scripts, web services and windows services and VB6 COM Applications
IIS 6.0/7.0 Management
Experience with building and deploying web sites.
Crystal Reports/Enterprise.
Microsoft Windows Server/Desktop infrastructures.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 3 years experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and Visual SourceSafe
Working Knowledge of T-SQL and SQL Server
Minimum 3 years coding experience in Microsoft languages (.NET, C#, VB6).
Minimum 3 years advanced knowledge of Microsoft Architectures.
Demonstrated technical excellence in advanced programming techniques, object oriented design principles and service oriented architecture.
Ability to work in development projects employing traditional waterfall as well as agile methodologies (Scrum preferred)
A thorough understanding of the complete software development lifecycle.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Must be flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and shifting priorities.
Must be flexible to work non-standard working hours including shifts.
Ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize individual and team activities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to gain internal support and establish a solid working relationship with peers and management.
Ability to communicate ideas and solutions effectively to management, team members and customers both orally and in writing.
