Requirement Details :
Years of Experience : 4 to 8 Years
Service Location : Bangalore
Position : Senior Software Engineer / Lead
Qualification : Bachelors/Masters Degree in Engineering (ECE/EEE/CSE/IT)
Responsibilities:
1. Technical Area Specialist - Architects and creates specifications for major software subsystems, or overall system, as required and as outlined in Pace Product Development Process
2. Produce well structured, documented and maintainable code
3. Assist in definition and promotion of Pace defined quality standards for software engineering
4. Provide maintenance support for existing software to ensure prompt rectification of problems
5. Participate in, and contribute to, formal Design and Project Reviews
6. Configuration management in relation to software releases.
7. Design of build environment managing source trees, etc.
Knowledge and experience:
1. Experienced in real time embedded software development, preferably Set Top Box domain/Consumer Electronics domain
2. Good in STB software/system architecture and design
3. Expert in C/Assembler/C++
4. Good Knowledge in Device driver development for MIPS32, MIPS64, ARM cores (Conexant, ST, Broadcom processors).
5. Linux Device Driver (Kernel / User)
6. Operating Systems: Linux / vxWorks / OS20 / uCos / Nucleus
7. Debug Environment / tools: Workbench, ARM
8. Developer Suite (ADS), GDB, ST20 Toolset
9. Knowledge in Middleware (OpenTV), Conditional Access System (NDS,NAGRA,IREDETO,CONAX)
10. Knowledge in Motorola Communications Protocols: USB, Ethernet, PSTN Modems, DOCSIS, HDMI, SATA, Fireware IEEE1394.
11. STB Technologies: DVB, MPEG2, MPEG4, PVR/DVR, HD-TV, Graphics/OSD, Audio/Video, IPTV
12. Experience in third party software integration.
