PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
In support of Powerwave development activities, designs and upgrades circuits, sub-assemblies and top level architecture to produce new wireless products. Generates and reviews design documentation in accordance with the engineering Product Development Process (PDP). Develops, implements and supervises test plans. Introduces designs to manufacturing. Works with system engineer, software engineer, RF engineer, and test engineer to determine architecture and specification.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design high speed digital circuits involving microprocessors and peripherals
- Design analog circuits involving A/D converters, D/A converters, op-amps, and power supply circuits.
- Oversee PCB layout
- Provide Test/Integration support
Senior Design Engineer II - DHW

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering or similar technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience
8+ years of digital hardware development experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient use of high speed design and signal integrity tools
- Strong knowledge of FPGAs and CPLDs
- Strong design verification skills
- Must be flexible and hardworking
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (desired)
- Fundamental digital signal processing knowledge,
- Familiarity with basic RF circuits
- Familiarity with various communication interfaces: RS-232, RS-485, AISG, Ethernet, CAN, USB, I2C, SPI
