Position              : Security Developer/Engineer

Experience        :  4  to 8 Years

Work Location : Bangalore

Essential Skills and Abilities

• Ability to understand, modify, compile and execute C source code on both Windows and UNIX platforms.
  • Intermediate to advance level of the following development languages/environments.
    • Visual C, Visual Basic, VB Script, PERL, Unix Shell scripts.

• Intermediate to advance knowledge of the following operating systems.
  • Windows - 2000, XP, Vista and Windows 7.
  • UNIX - Linux variants and Solaris.

• Advance to expert understanding of the following core network protocols.
  •  IP, TCP, UDP, ICMP, SNMP.

• Advanced understanding of the following common application layer/sub protocols
  • HTTP, HTTPS, RPC, POP3, SMTP, FTP, SIP, H323, RPC, Telnet.

• Advanced understanding of packet capture and analysing techniques using one of the following commercial packet analysers.
  • Wireshark.
  • Microsoft Network Monitor.

• Understanding of network security evasion techniques.
  • IP Fragmentation.
  • Character encoding.

Highly Desirable Skills and Abilities

• Ethical hacking experience
  • Penetration testing and security assessment experience.
  • Working knowledge of Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDS).
  • Understanding of attack/threat types/techniques.
    • Denial of Service.
    • Distributed Denial of Service.
    • Application Exploits.
    • Passive/Active recognisance.
    • Buffer Overflows.

• Intermediate level networking and network security concepts.
  • Firewalling, Application Firewalling.
  • Routing and Switching.
