The Quality Control Manager will lead all quality assurance efforts within DBH India.

 Working with operations management personnel, this position will guide our company and contract partners to the “best practice” manufacturing methods. With leadership this function will lead team members to a long term quality assurance vision, embrace new product introductions, formalize policies/procedures, and establish performance metrics.

 This position will be accountable for testing new and existing products. Ensure that products comply with regulatory standards, create data collection techniques with suppliers, direct supply chain audits, create quality technical specifications, and provide quality workmanship standards. Participate in product change control activities, work with customers on complaints and return authorizations, ensure that statistical control is maintained, and apply six sigma tools/techniques.

Experience

Applicants should have:

• Minimum 5 - 7 years Quality Assurance / Quality Control position(s), preferably in high growth environments and within both small and large original equipment manufacturing companies (OEM).

• Formal higher education, preferable Bachelor’s degree or graduate education in sciences, engineering, or business.

• Technical knowledge base of ISO9001 certification guidelines in a manufacturing environment.

• Statistical process control systems and Cpk measurement techniques.

• Incoming quality control methods and equipment use.

• Change Control Board and Material Review Board participation.

• Extensive manufacturing knowledge with assembly and testing of finished products. 

• Knowledge of high technology product life cycles and end-of-life material planning.

• Comprehension of master scheduling, production planning, inventory control, material requirements planning, and contract administration in purchasing.

 Specific responsibilities include:

• Direct and coordinate the company’s quality program

• Manages and coordinates quality assurance activities while adhering to all policies and standard operating procedures.

• Work closely with suppliers and contract manufacturers in quality control concepts/regulations.

• Determine the AQL levels and techniques for receiving inspection of products/raw materials.

• Work with Engineering on new product introduction, alternative materials, tooling requirements, test plans, and product qualification requirements.

• Compile quality control reports, create statistical process control metrics, manage nonconformity material discrepancy reports, assess customer return products with failure analysis, recommend continuous improvement activities, and implement six sigma methodologies.

• Support all regulations, policies, work procedures, safety rules, work instructions, and customer requirements.

• Establish product warranty and return policy for finished goods.

• Interpret quality philosophy to key personnel in the company.

• Perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with supplier quality manuals/procedures.

• Keep executive management abreast of significant developments identified during quality control activities.

• Apply knowledge of industry quality codes standards to company and suppliers.

• Implement quality training programs to key personnel and supply chain partners.

• Investigate and record customer complaints regarding product performance, specifications, and reliability.

• Promote and maintain ISO9001 guidelines throughout company departments..

• Maintain calibration of equipment and training certification of key quality / manufacturing personnel.

• Apply value engineering and value analysis to manufacturing processes.

• Issue and manage Supplier Corrective Action Reports.

• Manage the Non-Conforming Discrepant Material system.

 Performance Skills

Business Systems: Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software, formal MRP systems, computer aide design, and document control programs/processes.

Organization and Planning: Must be able to act independently and with the least amount of direct supervision, self-organize, schedule, and prioritize workload and manage simultaneous activities under stringent time constraints.

Teamwork: Able to work with concurrently with all levels of staff and outside parties in such a manner as to achieve company goals and objectives; past leadership and team management skills.

Decisiveness: Results oriented person that is able to make decisions on available information, take action, make business commitments, and react with work-related emergencies as needed.

Relationship Building/Cultivation: Able to build and continually cultivate relationships with key suppliers and customers.
