Department Responsibilities:
The
Global Delivery center (GDC) provides professional services to provide Fair
Isaac solutions and technologies to customers. The GDC is based out of
Bangalore and involves closely working with Fair Isaac's partners in delivering
solutions to customers. The GDC shall provide an umbrella of services such as
QA, System integration with FI products and solutions and implementation of all
Fair Isaac products/solutions.
The position is a
part of the Technical Services practice which focuses on the integration of
information, process and people through the application of Internet
technologies such as portals/J2EE development, content management, EAI
(Enterprise Application Integration), Web Services and EII (Enterprise
Information Integration).
Our Quality
Assurance sub-practice has opportunities for professionals who possess product
and/or application testing skills on implementation of Java-based web
applications, Unix and ETL Products. Travel requirement for this position is
between 0% and 10%.

Consultant level
professionals in our practice are responsible for hands-on software quality
assurance in global teams ranging in size from six to over twenty. Practical,
relevant experience as a creative problem solver and a proven ability to
operate in an autonomous capacity are critical.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Individual will be
expected to Lead and Manage a team of testing professionals.
• Individual
shall have experience in handling clients from QA prospective by participating
in Test Strategy discussions, Test Planning, Test scripts for testing of the
solution as detailed in the functional specifications.
• Individuals will be expected to read all
project documentation available (including Scoping documents, Design Document,
Functional Specifications, Test Approach) on starting the project to fully
understand the nature of the project and understand the deliverables.
• Individuals will be responsible for
undertaking training (distance learning via webinars) and for gaining the
knowledge of how to use the application.
• Individuals will report to the PL/QA
Manager
• Individuals will be expected to report
progress on a regular basis:
Twice weekly during test analysis/
scripting
Daily during test
execution
Hands on experience of using QC (
• 3.5+
years experience of carrying out Test Analysis, Test Planning and Test
Execution
• Testing
experience to be within the areas of:
Testing of 3rd party interfaces
Web applications
• Experience
of carrying out Defect Management (raising and tracking defects)
• Good
communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability
to work independently and demonstrative initiative where problems/ issues arise
Desirable
• Qualification
in QA/ testing such as ISEB foundation certificate (or equivalent)
• Strong on Database skills in terms of the
ability to query and retrieve information from Oracle / SQL Server databases.
•Strong on UNIX
