SUMMARY OF JOB:
This position is responsible for successfully delivering high quality projects on time and on budget to achieve highest customer satisfaction.
The person must demonstrate excellence in project management of complex multi-discipline project for critical applications such as data centers. This position is responsible to manage the site project management team to ensure the successful implementation of projects at site, on schedule and within budget. The delivery manager will work with the functional leaders from project organization such as Bid Team, Project Design Team, PMO, Procurement, etc to ensure highest customer satisfaction in delivering to commitment to customer.
This position works with the following key internal parties:

SSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.Project Management
Provide project management support for data center project implementation and successful handover to customer
Participate in customer meetings to communicate the project status and any roadblocks
Provide regular reports and updates to Project Director on status of all projects in delivery phase
Ensure the compliance to project processes, methodologies and procedures.
Ensure on time delivery of projects and manage the project plan
Deliver the projects within budget and manage project expenses
Manage the scope variation and change orders during project implementation
2.Customer Care and Quality
Ensure the successful implementation of project scope by delivering high quality services to ensure highest customer satisfaction
Handle the escalation of customer issues by project manager and be responsible to ensure its closure working with project teams
Identify the improvements needed, document it and communicate to the respective owners and stake holders
3.Partner Management
Responsible for managing the third party service providers during project implementation
Ensure that partner delivers on highest services standards and achieves high customer satisfaction
Ensure the right utilization of the resources and budgets
Monitor and communicate the performance of partners
Ensure the compliance to processes, methodology and code of conduct by sub-contractors and partners
4.Training and Development
Responsible for providing the training to project team as well as to the partners to build competency in delivering successful services to customers.
Update and educate yourself with the current applicable technologies, tools, processes and standards

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION – MINIMUN REQUIRED LEVEL:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (Engineering)
PMP certified
EXPERIENCE – MINIMUM REQUIRED:
At least 10 to 15 years experience in the IT or Critical Facility or Industrial projects
At least 4-5 years of project management experience in data center project implementation or critical facility projects will be an added advantage
Experience to handle project from 1months to 12months duration
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 1 – REQUIRED:
In depth understanding of project management principles
Ability to network with different personalities and individuals from multi-discipline environment
Understanding of electrical and mechanical system components such as Electrical Switchgears, Generator, UPS, Battery, Chillers, Pumps, CRAC cooling units, Security System, Fire Alarm System, etc is added advantage
Understanding on best practices and standards in electrical and mechanical systems installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair requirement
Proven skills in vendor management
Excellent leadership qualities
Must be comfortable in developing relationships with senior IT managers, Facility Managers, Consultants and management of major corporations and accounts
Demonstrate an ability and methodology to develop, mentor and motivate Project Engineering team members.
Strong communicator – both written and verbal in technical and non-technical environment
A leader in customer advocate – professional approach to internal and external clients
Ability to meet deadlines and demonstrate effective time management skills
Excellent business ethics and integrity
Demonstrates a flexibility in operational style to meet the requirements or multi-culture position
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS 2 – DESIRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:
Preference to come out of a Data Centre implementation or data center facilities management or engineering consulting industry
Experience as a team leader role or responsibility will be an advantage.
TRAVEL:
Extensive travel in India and willing to travel abroad
