Educational qualification: B.E / B.Tech or M.E / M.Tech (Mechanical)

Primary Responsibilities:
Leads group of India-based engineers that perform design activities relating to a specific Product Group within  work requests from US-based engineers and assigns to colleagues and is responsible for delivery of results to the Product Group
Will become a system-level expert for the tool-set from this Product Group – resolves minor design issues from India without referring to US-based engineers
Responsible for materials selection, component and subassembly design, analysis, and cost reduction activities
Coordinates work done by other engineers

Mandatory Skills required to performing the job:
Experience with complex assemblies and subsystems using Pro-Engineer
More than 3,000 hours of experience using Pro-Engineer.  Substantial use of Pro-Sheetmetal is a plus.
Background in materials selection & design with material such as quartz, ceramics, metals, plastics, etc.
Experience in capital equipment or automobile industry employing a top-down design approach for major subassemblies and subsystems
Experience in breaking work requests into subtasks, assigning to colleagues and delivering results to off-shore partners & customers
 
Desirable Skill:
Experience with documentation standards and Engineering Change Order process
Experience in value engineering or cost reduction using a structured process
Experience with fabrication processes such as welding, machining, sheet-metal, casting
Able to work from brief functional specifications and provide conceptual and detailed designs
Experience in delivering status reports and project reviews to upper management
More than 3,000 hours of experience using Pro-Engineer. Substantial use of Pro-Sheetmetal is a plus.
