Job Purpose:

The role is to develop/Integrate software for Our Client’s range of Wireless LAN devices BT, IEEE 802.11 and GPS. Successful candidates will be expected to be fully familiar with BT, IEEE 802.11 protocols and GPS and take full responsibility for the development, testing and maintenance of software components.       

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and maintain software components written in C
Actively participate in integration, debugging of problems and suggesting fixes on target platforms.
Actively support validation activities ensuring components satisfy appropriate compliance criteria.

Person Specification:

The ideal candidate is expected to be already familiar with wireless protocols. Knowledge of BT, GPS, IEEE 802.11, TCP/IP protocols, will be a great advantage.The candidate should have proven experience developing, testing and maintaining complex embedded subsystems developed in C. Candidates should be familiar with embedded operating systems such as Nucleus, Android, and Linux.

Required:

Familiar with Bluetooth and GPS technologies
Familiar with wireless protocols and especially BT, GPS, IEEE 802.11 and TCP/IP protocols.
Familiar with networking concepts, both wired and wireless
Strong development skills with proven experience of embedded development using C/C++
Strong debugging skills
Familiar with embedded operating systems such as Nucleus, Android and Linux.
Familiar with software engineering quality processes
Familiar with software engineering tools such as code management systems and bug tracking tools.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
A Keen learner, good team player, self starter, can work independently
Overall industry experience of 6 to 8 years

Desired:

Familiar with Perforce
Familiar with scripting languages like Python and Perl
Driver development experience
Interest/Experience in technically leading a small team
