Overview:

The Lead Engineer Trucks based products is to lead or support the major design projects from India in active collaboration with our client. The design could involve one or more the following sub-systems and systems integration -

• Design of Axles: including multi-axle
• Design of Suspensions: including Air suspensions
• Design of Transmission: including hydraulics transmission, electric drives
• Design of Steering
• Design of Braking
• Engines integration
• Systems Integration including Electrical and Hydraulics
• Mechanical Packaging

Qualifications & Skills:

• B.E / M.E (Mechanical)
• 12-15 years in design preferably in Heavy commercial Vehicles / Construction / Off highway Products.
• Good knowledge of SolidWorks / PRO-E
• Good knowledge of GD&T
• Good design Fundamentals and hands-on Design validation using FEA methods
• Good knowledge BOM Creation, ECN and ECR
• Go-getter attitude with strong belief in team work and effective planning.

Responsibilities:

Lead a team of designers and engage with our client Engineering teams in a variety of Design projects - Determine feasibility of designs, considering costs, time limitations, planning and other technical and economic factors. _ Ensure product meets the marketing feature, cost and quality requirements. _ Produce white papers and technical reports in order to secure external R&D funding. _ Perform other duties as assigned.
