 Experience : 6-9 Years

Roles & Responsibility:

Create Software Requirement Specifications, high level, low level design, Test strategies. Contribute in complex design for Layer2/ Layer3 protocol development,. Should be able to do critical coding and perform code reviews, Able to debug complex critical issues, Review critical test procedures, Perform critical unit testing, integration testing and system testing. Good understanding about the IEEE standards. Understand SDLC and work as per Aricent QMS, Accountable for the quality of his / her own work, Plan his / her work to stick with the committed schedule, technically lead a small team of size of 3 to 5 engineers for design and development of an independent module. Good communication skills to be able to interact with customers during critical presales and post sale support.

Roles & Responsibility:

Review SRS, high level, low level design, Test strategies. Able to do complex design for Layer2/ Layer3 Metro Ethernet protocol development,. Should be able to do critical coding and perform code reviews, Able to debug complex critical issues, Review critical test procedures, Perform critical unit testing, integration testing and system testing. Good understanding about the IEEE standards. Understand SDLC and work as per Aricent QMS, Accountable for the quality of his / her own work, Should be self driven in taking up activities for improving team?s productivity and optimized implementation which would save man months. Technically lead a team of size of 8 to10 people driving for designing /development of multiple modules after knowing the higher level picture of the project.. Good communication skills with good customer orientation. To drive ISS proposals technically by understanding and estimating the requirements.

Skills Required:

C, Linux programming, Should be able to design or architect any of the Layer2 or Layer3 or Metro Ethernet protocols, Design or architect any of the Layer2 or Layer3 or Metro Ethernet protocols with complete understanding of IEEE standards., Should be able to technically drive a team in design and development of various modules., Good understanding in Switch Stacking Architecture (Distributed or Centralized), Redundancy Framework

12-14 years of experience in design and implementation of Layer2/Layer3 ptotocols - IEEE802.1d, VLAN (IEEE802.1Q), RSTP/ MSTP, IEEE802.3ad (Link Aggregation), IGMP, IPv4, IPv6, DHCP and Unicast/ Multicast Routing Protocols ,Experience in managing multiple Projects/Program with team size of 30-40,Customer Management

E3/E4 – Senior Software Engineer/Technical Leader

Roles & Responsibility:

Able to understand the software requirements specifications; Able to contribute to the high-level design and generate the low-level design; Able to translate the low-level design into clean, maintainable, optimized and bug-free code and to perform thorough self-review of the same;Able to understand the test procedures and test strategy and perform unit testing, integration testing and system testing.;Able to do quick and efficient problem-debugging of bugs found in one?s code with less guidance.Able to generate clear, concise and well-organized technical documentation such as design document, unit test plan, integration/system test plans, configuration manuals, test reports etc.Able to capture problem descriptions properly, and drive "recreating-problem" phase for SW Problems in a module, and fixing / testing of difficult SW Problems during various test phases;Able to plan/estimate own work to meet the required and committed timelines;Able to guide freshers/SEs as assigned and review the their work products

Skills Required :

? Static MPLS (LSPs, Tunnels, Pseudowires), MPLS-TP/ T-MPLS,? MPLS signaling-based protocols such as LDP, RSVP-TE, L2-VPN, GMPLS,? OAM tools such as LSP Ping, BFD, VCCV,? Requirement 3 (Routing - E3/E4)

Job Responsibilities:

1. Technical leader for a module / subsystem, completely responsible for the technical output for assigned modules
2. Complete ownership of module/subsystem - quality of code and designs, test plans…and all technical output of the engineers under his/her technical supervise
3. Handle multiple implementations in a technology area as TL – complex high-level designs for multiple modules at sub-system level. Resolve design issues, for problem solving of difficult S/W Problems etc.
4. Communicate well within team and in customer interactions for technical discussions. Effective communication of technical issues and actions with PM and System Architects

Experience and Qualifications:

6 – 8 years of Overall Experience in Datacom

At least 2+ years of TL experience

Essential:

Routing Domain – OSPFv2/v3, RIP v1/v2, BGP, ISIS, Policy based Routing, Static Routing

Qos

Programming – C, Linux

Preferred Skills:

Layer2 Protocols

Network Processors – Work Experience in any NP chipsets (preferably IXP)/Fast Path programming

Qualification:

B.E/MCA – CSE/ECE/EEE/IT
