Roles and responsibility for
Job Openings for FPGA Architect at Bangalore for a Product Development MNC:
- Architect creative solutions using complex core FPGA designs
- Participate with other architects worldwide in defining Ixia’s overall architecture, methodology and tools.
- Lead and mentor team in the design, development and testing of complex FPGA designs
- Work hands-on and mentor team members in the lab to bring up, debug, and verify the product.
- Own the FPGA architecture and design of a set of Ixia load modules and shared cores.
- Work with standards bodies, marketing team, and customers to understand latest technologies
- Participate in documentation of functional, design and test specifications
Responsibilities:
- Architect creative solutions using complex core FPGA designs

Requirements:
- 10+ years experience in FPGA design/development with either Xilinx or Altera designs.
- Expert in VHDL. Extensive use of generics
- Experience with high speed FPGA designs running at 300 MHz or greater, including state machines, data path designs, and interfaces.
- Knowledge of CPU, memory, and microcontroller architectures and how to optimally interface FPGAs to CPUs, memories, and microcontrollers.
- Track record of architecting provably optimal designs, with minimum necessary complexity
- Experience working with and technically leading a team of engineers
- Experience working with a distributed, global organization.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Can handle multiple tasks well while mentoring and directing others
- BSEE, MSEE, or equivalent
Desirable:
- Experience with Ethernet, Networking, and Networking protocols.
- Knowledge of routing and/or switching equipment.
- Familiarity with storage networking
- Familiarity with carrier optical networks (SONET, OTN, etc.).
- Knowledge of current state of the art CPUs and CPU architectures including Intel and Cavium.
- Experience leading teams of 3 - 7 engineers
