Core Responsibilities:

• Applies full understanding of the software engineering discipline (you’re a master of your discipline) and industry best practices plus creativity to effectively design, implement, and support SW products and services.
• Works on significant assignments that are broad in scope and complexity and, cover a wide range of issues.
• Discovers and evaluates the most relevant factors to be considered in the creation, design, implementation or modification of software and services.
• Exercises independent judgment in the selection of methods and techniques used to deliver software and services. Considers build, buy and partnering alternatives in the selection process.
• Creates formal internal and external networks outside of your own area of expertise to leverage things such as best practices and technologies.
• Coaches and mentors other engineers on methods and techniques.
• Coordinates technical dependencies with other teams.

Qualifications :       
• BS Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of commercial software development experience
• A minimum of 9+ years of development experience in C++ and Java based applications
• A minimum of 3+ years of experience in development of commercial mobile applications on at least 2 or more mobile platforms
 (Java ME, Symbian, Windows Mobile, BREW, Palm OS, CoCoTouch (iPhone), Android, Mobile Linux, HTML5 etc.)
• Demonstrated experience with developing on-device applications that leverage network/web services
• Solid communication skills. Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical mobile issues to technical teams with little to no experience with mobile technologies
• In depth knowledge of the Internet and mobile industries
• Solid technical aptitude. Must be able to quickly establish credibility with technical community
