Skills Required:

General Summary:

The IREG Tester is responsible for performing IREG testing (CARRIER_SHORT) based on GSM testing standards. Primarily focusing on the network set-up and testing of the roaming partners to implement new roaming agreements; using the established IREG testing methodology by participating in, and supporting all required activities to ensure all process controls are adhered to and completed in a timely manner.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

100% Support
Assist in the development and maintenance of IREG testing procedures and adhere to all business processes and GSM standards
Provide switching & signaling support for Roaming Partner set up
Perform switch/network translations for the establishment of roaming services
Schedule and perform all IREG testing for any new roaming partners required by CARRIER_SHORT
Troubleshoot and evaluate SS7 messages when roaming services are failing
Troubleshoot switching, SGSN/GGSN, and SMSC as it relates to roaming
Manage test plan and schedule

Job Requirements:

General
2+ years Software Engineering experience, including 2+ years experience working in a IREG testing environment preferred
2+ years experience in areas of technical customer support, problem management and roaming implementation

Formal software testing methodologies
Integration testing
Conformance testing
Module and Functional testing
Document inspections & reviews
Strong troubleshooting and error analysis skills
Strong understanding of GSM standards and testing methods
