 Job Responsibilities

Participate in various activities to deliver power delivery for full platforms
Work with Product Line Management to understand, analyze requirements and market needs from Power Requirements/Energy Efficiency etc.
Creatively collaborate to come up with innovative system solutions to address customer needs and achieve competitive differentiation from Power Efficiency aspect
Write detailed product, functional, design and test specifications for Power Supplies
Board level Power Distribution/Conversion
PCB layout supervision
Work with cross functional teams (Thermal/Mechanical/DFM/DFT/Compliance) and also with Vendors/Suppliers
Very good analytical, creative problem solving skills
Collaborate with many cross functional, cross site teams, vendors for smooth, efficient execution of New Product Introduction initiatives and on-going Sustenance
Work closely with Compliance, Manufacturing teams
Work well with Technical Publications teams for Documentation Review
 

Desired Experience/Requirements:



BS/MS level education with more than 10-15years of strong hands-on experience in embedded data communication products
·         Strong knowledge of power electronic products, mainly on DC-DC  Converter for networking  application.

·         Testing knowledge of standalone power supply and system integration testing is necessary.

·         Should have design knowledge of SMPS,-48V distribution system.

·         Job involves interaction with Power supply vendors to develop the custom SMPS for networking systems to system requirements.

·         Should able to create power system specifications/architecture, schematics and guide layout team, bring-up PCB and help create test procedure for manufacturing and ability to  work both independently

·         and in a team environment.

·         Knowledge of latest converters topologies including resonant, Digital controllers is desirable.

·         Should have hands on experience in EMI/EMC Design Compliance covering the aspects of Shielding, Grounding, Filtering applied to power products.

Candidate should have ability to lead Power Electronics product design process with strong experience in detailed design and product data management.
Understanding of PoE+ technology is a huge plus
Experience optimizing systems for Cost, Power, Thermal Performance and EMI/EMC compliance
Working knowledge of any main PCB CAD Tools viz. Mentor/Cadence etc. for reviewing layout,
Background in networking and Lab skills with hands on experience operating oscilloscopes
