Team Lead – Hardware

Experience: 7– 9 Years

Qualification: BE/B Tech/ME/M Tech

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the hardware team in the development of system level designs from customer proposals which conform to product requirements, customer specifications and Pace Development Process, reporting to the project manager.

2. Oversee the generation of system level documentation from customer proposals for designs in line with the Pace Documentation Process.

3. Ensure that overall hardware is fully qualified prior to production sign off in accordance with the Pace Development Process, ensure all recommendations from 3rd parties are considered

4. Perform schematic generation, circuit analysis, validation of hardware and system level designs utilizing the Company specified hardware design tools as required

5. Produce accurate and detailed hardware project plans for platforms and systems, assisting the Project Management Team to ensure the project plans are both realistic and achievable.

6. Produce work breakdowns and task allocations from the project plan for the hardware team.

7. Lead design and project reviews ensuring all 3rd part recommendations are considered prior to progression to the next stage of the development phase.

8. Liase with the software development team to resolve any problems

9. Provide maintenance support for existing designs ensuring prompt rectification of problems.

10. Act as a guide for other engineers to encourage their development.

11. Liaise at high level with Customers, Suppliers and Partners

12. Oversee the detailed analysis of competitor products and systems

13. Be responsible for the day-to-day personnel management of all reporting staff
    

Knowledge and experience:

1. Engineering graduate in Electronic & communications Engineering

2. Will have 6 to 10 years of commercial hardware design and development experience including, RF modulation, Video and audio processing, high-speed digital and analogue design, modems, 16 / 32 bit micro processors

3. Will have experience in product design and manufacturing test & support activities

4. Domain experience in STB is preferred.

5. Should have knowledge of Hardware design to meet EMI/EMC requirements and other regulatory approvals

6. knowledge in mentor graphics, Oracad, Allegro, Pspice, logic analyzer etc

7. Will have good and effective leadership and delegation skills

8. Should possess detailed knowledge of hardware design and analysis tools including expertise in layout techniques for analogue and high-speed circuits.

9. Have the ability to provide detailed analysis on competitor products providing recommendations from conclusions drawn from the evaluation

10. Be able to act as mentor to other engineers.

11. Have a wide experience in their Hardware Engineering Discipline
