An experienced hands-on software developer to design and develop FCoE device driver stack on the Linux OS for Client's 10Gb networking adapters.
The candidate will be involved in all phases of the device driver software development process, including requirement analysis, design specification and test plans, coding, unit testing, performance optimization and trouble shooting.
The candidate will develop the driver in C. Development is for drivers running on X86, X64, and Itanium architectures.
Role – Software Developer
Responsibilities –
- An experienced hands-on software developer to design and develop FCoE device driver stack on the Linux OS for Client's 10 Gb networking adapters.
- The ideal candidate must have worked with storage or networking hardware and software, with hands-on development experiences in Linux kernel. The ability to execute complete driver development cycles from initial requirements and design through release and maintenance is critical to this position.
- The candidate will be involved in all phases of the device driver software development process, including requirement analysis, design specification and test plans, coding, unit testing, performance optimization and trouble shooting.
- The candidate will develop the driver in C. Development is for drivers running on X86, X64, and Itanium architectures.
Required Skills –
- 1-2.5 Years of experience in Linux (or any flavor of Unix) driver development is a must.
- Good understanding of OS internals including the SCSI subsystem.
- In depth knowledge of any storage protocol SCSI/FC/iSCSI/SAS (preferably FC Protocol).
- Must have the ability to read hardware specifications, diagnose and correct software/hardware interaction issues.
- Candidate must have the ability to write, review, and revise technical documentation
- Experience with the following is a plus
- PCI interface
- protocol analyzers (FC, PCIe)
- Kernel debuggers
- basic knowledge of Ethernet and TCP/IP
Education - BE/MS
Experience – 1 to 2.5 Years
