Position Summary:
The position is based at the Factory is responsible for the overall strategic, operational and administrational activities linked to EHS systems and processes at the Manufacturing Unit.
Associate Manager – EHS is also responsible for the operations of Effluent Treatment Plant and Raw Water Treatment Plant with high standards of quality of operation at minimum cost. Compliance to Pollution Board Norms, Management & disposal of various and elimination of Health, Safety & Environmental Hazards are the key outputs.
Essential functions of the job:
- Imparting various EHS related trainings to all company & contract employees and various contractors & visitors.
- Carry out Risk assessment by using various methodologies and tools.
- Implementation of all Safety Health & Environment related legal requirements (Environment acts, Factories Acts etc.)
- Liaison with all Govt. departments related to Safety & Environment (Pollution Control Board for all consents & NOC etc., Factory Inspectors etc.)
- Implementation of various EHS operational control systems like PPE standards, Permit to work system, machine guarding & safety, planned inspections and other standards.
- Managing SHE committee meetings of Factory.
- Testing & monitoring of all environmental parameters for air & water.
- Maintenance of legal records and other records required for EHS.
- Continuous improvement in Water Treatment methodologies
- Drive implementation of EHS Systems like ISO 14001, OHSAS etc
