RESPONSIBILITY

• Provides management and direction to software engineers/leads
• Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet objectives
• Responsible for the management of resources and processes of the department
• Overall technical responsibility for Wireless embedded software design
• Responsible for lifecycle management of the Software products including
  • Software Release scheduling, tracking and control
  • Assessing and acquiring required resources
  • Coordination of production releases that meet quality assurance standards
• Communication to senior management on release status, risk areas and issues

Embedded  with RTOS openings with product based MNC in Hyderabad

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

B.E. in Electronics or Computer Science or equivalent related experience.

Experience

12 or more years of relevant experience of which at least 3 years in management role.

Essential Skills and Abilities

• Experienced in leading design and development teams for embedded software for Wireless Telecom systems
• Hardware/ software integration experience
• Advanced knowledge of programming languages including C/C++ and structured programming techniques.
• Advanced knowledge of  RTOS such as VxWorks, CMX, pSoS,
• Experience with various 32/16/8 bit processors such as PowerPC, Coldfire, ARM processors.
• Experience working with peripherals such as Ethernet, HDLC, UART, SPI, I2C, PLL.
• Experience with Networking protocols such as SNMP, TCP/IP
• Strong knowledge of microcontroller development requirements and the use of ICE debuggers, JTAG and/or Integrated Development Environments.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet the deadlines.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong Technical leadership skills
• Thorough knowledge of large software product lifecycle management including
  •  
    • SW Design and Development
    • Release procedures and control
    • Bug tracking
    • Validation and regression testing
    • Action Item management
    • Change Request management

Desirable Skills

• Embedded Linux, BSP, device drivers
• Knowledge of the Wireless Telecom standards and protocols such LTE, WiMax, WiFi, UMTS, CMDA, GSM.
• Experience working with SMP architecture
• Advanced knowledge of RF communication waveforms and wireless systems control theory is a major plus
