Job description:
The candidate will be involved in the design and development of platform infrastructure and/or routing protocol design for the wireless mesh nodes.
Responsibilities are to design/develop/test embedded system platform,data-path and protocol-related modules, and participate in all the phases in the development cycle from requirement analysis, design, coding, and integration testing for WiFi-based network devices and system. Tasks include development of embedded Linux kernel modules and network data-path drivers and control-path applications.
Candidate must be a sharp, self-motivated engineer with a proven background of problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in EE/CS and 3-5 years of experience in the area of platform software development.

Strong "C" and embedded programming and extremely strong debugging skills (using gdb, kdbg etc.)

Good knowledge of basic OS features like multi-threading, synchronization and memory management on Linux or Linux-like OSes.

Good knowledge of computer architecture and must have developed data path and control path software for enterprise/telecom networking products

Very Strong experience in any one of the following areas. Additionally, it is highly desirable, if the candidate is strong in more than one of the following areas:

Good understanding and minimum 2 years of experience in using Linux Kernel (network drivers and network stack). Linux SMP is highly preferred.

Strong fundamentals of Routing, Switching and L3/L4 protocols (IP, ARP, ICMP, TCP/UDP).

Experience in usage or implementation of routing protocols similar to OSPF, RIP and BGP

Wi-Fi (802.11) radio driver design & development based on MadWifi

Wi-Fi Access point and Controller development experience, ideally in controlling multiple Access Points, from a centralized WLAN controller (CAPWAP/LWAPP, IAPP etc)

Good understanding of L2 protocols (Ethernet 802.3, VLAN 802.1Q and 802.1p)
