Develop data model, data analysis, data access, and perform database tuning & data integrity solutions.
Participate in rapid prototyping, partner evaluation etc
Solve technically challenging problems related to developing and growing a rapidly-expanding service
Lead feature/product engineering teams and participate in architecture and design reviews.
Ability to design, code, test, implement, and validate business, and technical information technology related programs.
Work with Product Management to define product requirements and functional specifications
Work with the product team to assess feasibility and priority of features and upgrades.
Ability to lead and participate on empowered virtual teams to deliver iteration deliverables, manages projects within scope of responsibility and drive the technical direction of the product.
Participate in product requirements definition process to provide feedback on technical feasibility and options.
Should understand and articulate the business value proposition of the module/product/project
Review application modification requests and assess the effects of such modifications on the application.
Generate innovative approaches and solutions to technology project challenges
Mentor junior developers. Provide feedback on the development efforts of junior developers
Manage multiple priorities effectively

Education & Skill requirements
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering or an equivalent field, from a reputed university.
6+ years of multi-tier distributed software application development with proven problem solving skills
4+ years progressive experience in RDBMS database design & implementation on Oracle/MSSQL Server OLTP, DB design/modeling, SQL. Use of design tools e.g. Erwin, Toad etc.
Must have Database design/development experience on large scale OLTP applications.
2-4+ years experience of MicroStrategy or Cognos reporting experience
Work experience in OLAP/ROLAP, Multi-dimension DB, Data Mining/Warehouse technologies with hands-on experience in related solutions e.g. Business Objects, Cognos, Microstrategy etc
Database modeling, and performance tuning of medium-to-large database applications.
Must have a very good grasp of Java, XML, JDBC, JSP and Servlets.
Experience working with application servers like Weblogic, JBoss , Tomcat and web servers like Apache and iPlanet
Preferably should have designed and developed a multidimensional/OLAP application
Strong analysis & written communication skills and team orientation. Minimal supervision must be self-driven.
Required Skills: Java , J2EE , JDBC , SQL, OLAP Experience, Oracle DBMS skills, Query optimization and tuning, and Data modeling experience .
Work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Strong people and technical leadership skill.
